Small Business Saturday, the fun shopping day where Fulton residents rally around and support their local businesses, falls on Saturday, Nov 30th this year which is fast approaching.
The are two promotions going on here at Smockingbird's for Small Business Saturday. The first one is a mug giveaway. No minimum purchase required.
Many of you love our Smockingbird's mug. You love the size, the shape, and the way that the handle feels. To receive one of our mugs for free on Small Business Saturday, all you have to do is wear an Ugly Christmas Sweater. You know what I mean, one of those holiday sweaters from the 70s & 80s that just seem to be so ugly now. Wear one of those and you will receive your free mug.
The other promotion is the Santa's Shop Small Bags being offered by the Chamber of Commerce. The chamber will bring a limited number of Small Biz Sat canvas bags to Smockingbird's. Each bag will have a card in it. Some of the cards will be marked "Winner" but some will say "Not a winner at this time". To make it harder, there will only be 4 bags with"Winner" cards in them among the 12 businesses participating. One winner will win the MEGA prize of $200. To determine who receives one of these canvas bags at Smockingbird's, we will have a drawing for 2 bags every hour until all of our bags are all spoken for. If you are not a winner, take a picture of your card with your bag and tag the Chamber on social media to be entered into a special drawing.
Our last special holiday event is Sneaky Snowman on Saturday, Dec 7. This event keeps growing in popularity every year. Basically, every participating business in the Brick District has hidden a small plush snowman in plain sight for their customers to find. Find the snowman, get your passport stamped and then turn your completed passport in for a chance to win a gift basket full of Brick District goodies. The search for the Sneaky Snowman runs from 10 to 4 pm. During the event, I will be offering a free ornament with purchase. Shown below, this cute little ornament expresses the sentiment of the season.
