Check out the Newness!

Hello everyone!

My new website has a blog feature. I thought that it would be fun to try it. Plus, it would also be another way to keep you up to date about new products and happenings in the shop and out and about in the Brick District. This first post is about some of the great new products that we have this Spring.
Myra bags - Smockingbird's
Myra Bags - Smockingbird's
After our long, snowy Winter, it's nice to have some new products in the shop. One of our customers' favorite is a line of totes called Myra Bags. Made in India from recycled army tent canvas, leather, and hide, our customers love the vintage look and feel. Each one is unique. Our collection includes small zippered bags, cross body bags, messenger bags, tote bags and large weekender bags.Stop by the shop to see them in person.
Chocolate truffles - Smockingbird's
Our chocolate case has been stocked with three new flavors of truffles, handmade in Missouri by Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate. In addition to the 11 flavors that we had, we now have Strawberry Cheesecake, Cookies and Cream, and Banana Split. My favorite of all the truffles is the Milk Chocolate Cinnamon Bun Truffle. It’s so yummy! Every Tuesday is Truffle Tuesday with 10% off a select flavor.
This cute little fox is part of our Warmies collection. Filled with lavender scented beads, when warmed in the microwave, he becomes a sweet smelling comfort toy. He joins a number of other animals. My favorite is the blue dragon but then blue has always been my favorite color. Lavender bead filled neck wraps and clay filled wraps are also stocked in the shop. Nothing feels better than a warm neck wrap! The clay wraps may be warmed in the microwave or chilled in the freezer to help with your aches and pains.
morels and microbrews - Smockingbird's

Last but not least, I'd like to tell you about an upcoming event in the Brick District. Morels & Microbrews, a super fun beer fest which features morel mushrooms, beer, and live music, is about to celebrate its 7th year on April 27th. The fun begins at 9 am with the opening of the Brick District Farmers Market. This is followed at 11 am with the opening of the admission tents, morel tents, food trucks, and live music. Beer is poured from noon to 4 pm. Smockingbird's will be open during the festival. Stop by and say hello!

Cheers,
Virginia
